SV Restless

Mast deck box on the saw horses, and the stainless chain locker on the floor. The deck boxes and dorade boxes were all built like this; tapered conical press braked sections in front, angled to match the front of the pilot house, with sides and back angled to match the sides and back of the pilot house, and tapered conical press braked sections on the rear corners as well. I built them high, like this, and then just trimmed them to the crown of the deck. The chain locker is secured with bolted tabs in front of the collision bulkhead at the waterline in the bow, and then foamed in place, after the interior was blasted and epoxied. I hoped it would hold about 300' of 3/8" hi test, but it turns out about 240' is all it wants to hold without having some one below to knock the piles down, so that's what we carry on the primary.
